quiv - ver - ing
1. The act or state of trembling. Implies fear and trembling (as in reverent fear of God).
2. A twist on the word “Quiverfull.”
Psalm 127
A song of ascents. Of Solomon.
1 Unless the LORD builds the house,
the builders labor in vain.
Unless the LORD watches over the city,
the guards stand watch in vain.
2 In vain you rise early
and stay up late,
toiling for food to eat—
for he grants sleep to[a] those he loves.

3 Children are a heritage from the LORD,
offspring a reward from him.
4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior
are children born in one’s youth.
5 Blessed is the man
whose quiver is full of them.
They will not be put to shame
when they contend with their opponents in court.

The form of birth control we use in our home is simple:
we allow God to have control.
Fearing God doesn't mean we believe our relationship with Him is tentative or precarious. Quite the contrary, it means that we are so overcome by thanksgiving by His mercies and His free gift of salvation, that we long to fellowship with Him and partner in His will. We are submissive and so very blessed because of it.
Being "quiverfull" doesn't necessarily mean we will have a large family. It means we are open to the number of children God blesses us with. For some families, they parent by adoption, or simply by mentoring to children in the community.
Why would we be willing to have a large family?
Because God says when He blesses, He provides as well.
Here is a great resource if you are a quiverful family:
